The latest episode of The Race MotoGP Podcast reflects on how Joan Mir won the title in the absence of Marc Marquez – and features a worrying update on the outgoing champion’s recovery.

Toby Moody and Simon Patterson explain what Suzuki got right this year that no other team could. There’s also a detailed look at what went wrong for Yamaha’s main hopes in Maverick Vinales and Fabio Quartararo, and how the latter’s season has completely fallen apart.

Looking at MotoGP’s former kings, the question is raised about if Valentino Rossi has become anonymous after single-handedly helping MotoGP to explode throughout the 21st century, and there are some crucial updates on Marquez as it emerges he could even be in a race against time to be fit for the start of 2021.

There’s also a look at Jorge Lorenzo’s reaction to being replaced by Cal Crutchlow as Yamaha’s test rider, and why Andrea Iannone was slapped with the maximum ban on the table in his doping case.
