The inaugural Vancouver E-Prix will take place next July to form a North American double-header with the established New York City race.

Promoter and organiser Matthew Carter, once the CEO of the Lotus F1 team between 2013 and 2016, joins Sam Smith to talk about prospects for the event, which will take place in the same area as the CART and ChampCar races once did.

Carter goes into details of the planned ‘Canadian E-Fest’ weekend, including concerts, an innovative business forum and an esports event surrounding Formula E’s top billing.

Also discussed is how Carter and his team intend for the Vancouver E-Prix plans to become a mainstay of Canadian sport and avoid the pitfalls which threw the Montreal E-Prix into decline, and eventually cancellation, in 2017.
