The 2021 Formula 1 season kicked off with a thrilling battle for the win between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen in Bahrain, just as everyone had hoped for at the start of the weekend.
As well as being a fantastic straight fight between Mercedes and Red Bull, it was decided in controversial circumstances when Verstappen’s pass for the win was deemed illegal because of track limits and he was forced to surrender the place back to Hamilton.
