Video: How Ferrari’s engine tricks helped Mercedes

Ferrari’s dip in form in the 2020 F1 season has been made worse – for the Prancing Horse and everyone else – by the fact Mercedes appears stronger than ever this year.

As we explain in our latest video, a big part of that is down to the huge effort the reigning champion team put in for 2020 in response to Ferrari’s resurgent form in the second half of 2019.

Not only did Ferrari seemingly lose that advantage with clarifications from the FIA about engine loopholes, but it lit a fire in Mercedes that pushed the best team on the grid to achieve an even higher standard for 2020.
