Ex-Formula 1 driver Nico Hulkenberg will contest the second edition of The Race’s All-Star Esports Battle this Saturday.
Hulkenberg joins a packed event entry list of top motorsport names that include Max Verstappen, Juan Pablo Montoya and Formula E championship leader Antonio Felix da Costa.
A champion in GP2, European F3 and for Germany in A1GP, Hulkenberg raced in F1 between 2010 and 2019, contesting 177 grands prix.
He is yet to confirm a race programme for 2020 after losing his factory drive at Renault at the end of last year.
The second All-Star Esports Battle, which will kick off on Saturday at 5pm UK time and can be followed on The Race’s YouTube channel, is set to feature 60 competitors.
The event, held on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course on rFactor 2, will culminate in a final decider heat that will feature 15 pro racing drivers and five sim racers.
