Isle of Man TT 2025: Who is racing in each class? Seeded riders

With this year’s Isle of Man TT rapidly approaching, organisers have begun to announce the starting orders for each race.

The seeded riders for every event will be confirmed this week, naming the top 20 starters and featuring some famous names including all-time wins leader Michael Dunlop and long-time TT legend John McGuinness.

This year’s TT will take place from May 26 to June 7, with five qualifying sessions during the first week before six days of racing between May 31 and June 7.

Supersport

The schedule will feature two four-lap Monster Energy Supersport TT races, the first of which will get the race programme underway on Saturday May 31.

Paul Jordan, racing the Jackson Racing powered by Prosper2 Honda, will again lead the field down Glencrutchery Road, as he did last year. In 2024 he scored two top-eight finishes.

Behind him comes CD Racing by MSS Performance Kawasaki rider David Johnson, ahead of 2018 race winner and 2024 double Supersport podium-finisher Dean Harrison - one of the pre-race favourites.

2023 TT Privateers Champion Jamie Coward lines up fourth, ahead of James Hillier in fifth.

With six wins in the past six Supersport races, King of the Mountain Michael Dunlop lines up in his favoured sixth position - this time on a Ducati Panigale V2.

Australian racer Josh Brookes lines up in seventh on the second Jackson Racing powered by Prosper2 machine, with Davey Todd in eighth. Having finished second and third in last year’s races, the Milenco by Padgett’s Motorcycles rider will have victory firmly in his sights in 2025.

Ninth is Mike Browne, on a Yamaha, ahead of 2019 Supersport race winner Peter Hickman with his iconic Trooper Triumph by PHR Performance.

Supertwin

The Supertwin class will race twice at this year’s Isle of Man TT, with the Metzeler Supertwin TT taking place on Tuesday June 3 before the Entire Cover insurance Supertwin TT on Friday June 6.

Paul Jordan, who finished third in 2022, will again lead the field, this time on the Jackson Racing powered by Prosper2 Aprilia.

Next off the line is 2023 podium-finisher Pierre-Yves Bian, ahead of seven-time TT winner Michael Rutter on the Bathams AJN Racing Yamaha R7 as he focuses all his efforts on the Supertwin class this year.

One of the pre-race favourites, Jamie Coward, lines up fourth. The second fastest rider of all-time in the class, he will be gunning for victory on the KTS Racing powered by Stanley Stewart Racing Kawasaki.

Manxman Michael Evans is next, ahead of five-time Supertwin winner and all-time record holder Michael Dunlop on the MD Racing Paton. Having won both of the class's races in 2024, Dunlop (pictured above) could break his 2018 lap record of 122.750mph this year.

Seventh away from the line is Adam McLean, on the Flitwick Motorcycles / SMV Yamaha, before Davey Todd sets off 10 seconds later on the Milenco by Padgett's Motorcycles Paton in the team's Supertwin debut.

Two-time Supertwin podium finisher Mike Browne leaves 10 seconds later on the KMR Kawasaki, before Peter Hickman (pictured above) departs 10th on his Swan Racing by PHR Performance Yamaha. With second-place finishes in both of last year's races, and a win apiece in 2022 and 2023, Hickman will be on the hunt for more silverware in 2025.

Superbike, Superstock and Senior TT

There will be four 1000cc races at this year’s TT: The RST X D30 Superbike race, RL360 and Opul Superstock races, before race week culminates in its blue riband event: the Milwaukee Senior TT.

For the third time in four years, 23-time TT winner John McGuinness will lead the field away at number one. Almost 30 years on from his TT debut in the Lightweight category in 1996, the Superbike TT will be McGuinness’s 112th TT start.

David Johnson will start second on the Platinum Club Racing Kawasaki, ahead of Honda rider Dean Harrison, returning on the factory bike and one of the pre-event favourites. He is one of only four riders to lap at more than 135mph.

In fourth is regular top six finisher Jamie Coward, aboard the KTS Racing powered by Stanley Stewart BMW, ahead of James Hillier in fifth.

Next off the line will be 29-time winner Michael Dunlop. Though he is yet to confirmed his machinery for the event, a switch to BMW is rumoured for the Northern Irish star.

Seventh down the road is Josh Brookes on the Jackson Racing powered by Prosper2 Honda, before last year’s Superstock and Senior race winner Davey Todd, this time on the 8TEN Racing BMW.

He’ll be followed by fellow BMW rider Mike Browne (MLav Racing), seeded in the top ten for the first time.

Once again at number 10 will be Peter Hickman on the 8Ten Racing BMW. Having won seven of the last 10 big bike races at the TT, he’ll be one of the favourites going into the event.

The top 10 drivers and passengers for the two 3wheeling.media Sidecar Races have been announced, but unlike other classes, their starting order will be determined by qualifying position.

Last year’s double race winners Ryan and Callum Crowe will take the number one plate after dominating the 2024 event, setting their maiden 120mph+ lap of the Mountain Course. They will be racing the Opul Solutions/Kelproperties LCR Honda.

Racing with the number two plate are seven-time podium finishers Pete Founds and Jevan Walmsley on the DDM Honda under the AWB Engineering banner, ahead of 14-time winner Ben Birchall with new passenger Patrick Rosney on the Hager LCR Honda.

The number four will be run by Lee Crawford and Scott Hardie on the Team ARC/SJH Bodyworks LCR Kawasaki, hoping to improve on their best finish of fifth last year.

Lewis Blackstock also has a new passenger in 23-year-old newcomer Oscar Lawrence, with the pair sporting the number five plate, ahead of last year’s best newcomers Todd Ellis and Emmanuelle Clement (Brookland Sand & Aggregates CES Yamaha) in sixth.

Number seven is father and son duo Steve and Matty Ramsden, on the Oliver’s Mount Racing LCR Honda, with John Saunders and Vicky Cooke (Home Choice/Toutes Directions Ltd LCR Yamaha) in eighth.

Gary and Daryl Gibson (GDM Logistics & Fabrications LCR Suzuki) will run the number nine plate, with big name newcomer Stephen Kershaw, partnered by Rhys Gibbons, on the number 10 Express Tyres/Quattro Group LCR Honda.
