A Ducati rider will win the MotoGP 2024 title at Barcelona - but it most likely won't be the Ducati rider that the manufacturer would prefer.
Jorge Martin is on the verge of seeing off Ducati's two-time champion Pecco Bagnaia for the crown, which would then enable Martin to take the number one plate to his next employer Aprilia - after he was pushed into its willing arms by Ducati preferring Marc Marquez for 2025.
As the '24 Martin/Bagnaia title went down to the wire, there was much talk both in and outside the MotoGP paddock about team orders or other, more subtle ways of manipulating the title fight outcome.
But has Ducati actually done anything to tip the scales in Bagnaia's favour - and could it end the season feeling it hadn't done enough?
And should MotoGP be grateful to Ducati for its philosophy when it comes to managing a title contest?
This and more is discussed in our latest video offering, available above or on The Race's MotoGP video channel on YouTube.
