Brad Binder’s MotoGP sprint extravaganza from 15th on the grid in Argentina doesn’t quite qualify as a full-on premier-class win – for now.

But it does continue a proud tradition of premier-class riders scything their way through the field for some of the most memorable victories in the championship’s history.

Below, we task you with naming the 19 instances since 1980 in which a MotoGP/500cc race was won by a rider who had qualified 10th or lower.

The year 1980 is picked to ensure the seasons covered consistently have public qualifying data available. Riders known to have achieved the feat before that year include Pat Hennen, John Newbold and Jack Findlay.
