Once MotoGP's two dominant manufacturers, Yamaha and Honda are having a really bad season on track - but are putting building blocks into place to avoid more seasons like that in the future.
Both have opted for radical change. For Yamaha, it means developing a V4 engine, in a project spearheaded by an ex-Formula 1 engine guru.
Honda, meanwhile, has headhunted the designer behind Aprilia's MotoGP transformation.
