Indy Lights makes its first appearance on the Detroit street track since 2012 this weekend, with a three-way championship battle shaping up nicely.
David Malukas leads the chase of the $1.3million IndyCar 2022 package on offer in the feeder series, but a practice crash put him on the back foot at Belle Isle as title rivals Kyle Kirkwood and Linus Lundqvist finished first and second in Saturday’s opening race.
Malukas improved to second in race two qualifying, between Lundqvist and Kirkwood.
