1 min read

A pitstop crash that triggered “hate mail”, Pato O’Ward’s mindset after heartache and success to start 2023, and the reasons for a brilliant Texas oval race feature on the latest episode of The Race IndyCar Podcast.

Back after a short break, having become a dad for the first time, 2009 Indy Lights champion JR Hildebrand breaks down the Kyle Kirkwood and Alexander Rossi pitlane crash in detail, as well as looking at some of the reasons this Texas race was so good considering tepid races have been the norm recently.

Josef Newgarden’s status, following his first win with another new engineer, is discussed, while the hosting team – Hildebrand being joined by The Race’s American Editor Jack Benyon – also round up some of the key stories throughout the field.

Don’t forget, if you have a question for our hosting team, you can send an email, text and/or voicenote to be included on the podcast to podcasts@the-race.com.
