IndyCar podcast: Driver pay, engine delay and a ‘pathetic’ run

Topics including driver pay, the series’ recent engine delay and a new Indy 500 documentary get a driver’s insight on this week’s The Race IndyCar Podcast.

Rahal Letterman Lanigan driver Graham Rahal brings his 15 years of top-level experience to talk about some of the series’ biggest topics right now on the first episode of the year.

He also sheds a light on the rollercoaster season 2022 proved to be for RLL, which was one of IndyCar’s best teams in 2021 but started last year with a troublesome car and a lack of leadership – which led to a winless season full of struggles.

Rahal also discusses his own “pathetic” five-year winless streak, and how adding personnel such as ex-Red Bull and McLaren engineer Stefano Sordo and a brand new factory should help the team move forward in 2023.

Don’t forget, if you have a question for our hosting team, you can have your emails, texts and/or voicenotes included on the podcast by sending them to podcasts@the-race.com.
