World’s Fastest Gamer winner Rudy van Buren is the bookies’ favourite to double up and make it two All-Star Battle wins in a row this weekend.
Van Buren, who won The Race’s flagship esports event last Saturday, is 11/2* with William Hill to repeat the feat. The bookmaker has him as joint favourite with McLaren Shadow winner Kevin Siggy to triumph in this evening’s race, which starts at 4pm (UK time) and can be watched on The Race’s YouTube channel.
Unsurprisingly, simracers lead the odds, with Lukas Blakeley (13/2) next up, ahead of the leading ‘worldie’ Daniel Juncadella, who’s also priced at 8/1.
Juncadella was the top real-world racer last time out, just missing the podium after a spirited battle with Felix Rosenqvist, who’s valued at 9/1.
Jernej Simoncic, winner of the first All-Star Battle, is 14/1, the same price as BMW works driver Philipp Eng, Mercedes Formula E man Stoffel Vandoorne and reigning World’s Fastest Gamer James Baldwin.
GT Academy winner and Super GT star Jann Mardenborough is 25/1, while IndyCar rookie sensation Pato O’Ward is 80/1 for his All-Star Battle debut.
This week The Race is also running the Legends Trophy for the first time. A star-studded line-up has been assembled and it’s former F1 and IndyCar ace Juan Pablo Montoya that’s the most fancied racer at 4/1.
Oriol Servia (6/1) and Tiago Monteiro (8/1) and second and third favourites, while three-time Indy 500 winner Dario Franchitti looks great value at 20/1, as does another former 500 winner Tony Kaanan at 25/1.
