Simracer Salih Saltunc has taken the second Williams seat in its three-man Formula 1 Esports team.
Saltunc finished the 2018 F1 Esports Pro Series fourth in the drivers’ championship and the 2019 season in 10th, both years racing for Alfa Romeo.
Saltunc took part in the first two F1 Pro Exhibition races, finishing both inside the top 10 and is a four-time champion in Apex Online Racing’s F1 leagues.
He joins Alvaro Carreton who raced for the team last year and ended the season eighth in the championship.
Williams’ third driver will be selected from the Pro Draft, taking place on August 27.
The announcement comes just one day after Tino Naukkarinen confirmed on Twitter that he is no longer a part of Williams Esports.
Isaac Price, who was also a part of the team last year after being selected from the 2019 Pro Draft, is also no longer a part of Williams’ F1 Esports lineup.
On his Twitter account, Saltunc said: “So happy and proud to reveal that I’ve joined Williams Esports for the upcoming season in the F1 Esports Pro Series.
“It’s beyond a privilege to race for a historic team that is Williams Racing and I’m excited to get started with them.”
