Juan Pablo Montoya took his first The Race Legends Trophy victory with a dominant drive in the Lime Rock reversed-grid race.
Montoya burst into the lead from second at the start while a huge crash erupted just behind him as the field tried to get around slow-starting polesitter Petter Solberg.

Tonio Liuzzi ran second for the first five laps before going off at the final corner.
That elevated Dario Franchitti, who clung onto the runner-up spot under heavy pressure from Emanuele Pirro in the closing laps.
Race one winner Jan Magnussen came from the back of the grid to fifth behind Mika Salo, but his earlier rival Jenson Button had a more fraught time.

Button flew through the opening lap chaos to emerge in fifth, then dropped back to ninth in a clash with Darren Turner. A subsequent collision with Andy Priaulx cost him more ground and he finally finished 14th.
Jason Plato completed an impressive Legends Trophy debut with seventh place behind David Brabham.
