Simracing star Bono Huis is the bookies’ favourite to prevail in The Race’s All-Star Cup Fully Charged by ROKiT Phones, which takes place today.
The Dutchman, who claimed the biggest-ever prize in virtual racing when he won Formula E’s million-dollar race in Las Vegas, is priced at 9/2 by William Hill to repeat his success from last weekend’s online spectacular.
Fellow sim stars Yuri Kasdorp and Rudy van Buren – winner of the second All-Star outing – are joint second favourites at 5/1. Race one winner Jernej Simoncic has drifted to 16/1 after poorer showings in the past two events.
Mercedes Formula E driver Stoffel Vandoorne is the most fancied of the real-world racers at 12/1.
In the Legends race last week’s winner Dario Franchitti is the joint-favourite at 9/2. He shares top billing with Juan Pablo Montoya, who was on pole for the first race before getting involved in an opening-lap tangle.
William Hill is offering a special on Legends debutant Jenson Button. Button’s price for a podium goes from 7/4 to 2/1.
