There aren't many places that provide the atmosphere of Monza, boosted by the adoring Tifosi cheering for Ferrari success at the Italian Grand Prix (which it got on Saturday last year with a Carlos Sainz pole position).

Corners like the Parabolica and the Lesmos are some of the most revered, too, and provide a thrilling challenge for Formula 1 drivers on-track.

Monza is, on paper, better-suited to Red Bull and Max Verstappen - who has won for the past two years. But after McLaren and Lando Norris blew Verstappen away at Zandvoort last weekend, who knows where the balance of power lies as the F1 title fight intensifies...

Italian GP (August 30-September 1) timings

Monza (CEST), just outside Milan, is one hour ahead of UK time.

The weekend kicks off with first practice at 1.30pm local time (12.30pm UK), followed by second practice at 5pm (4pm UK).

FP3 initiates Saturday's running at 12.30pm (1.30pm UK) before qualifying starts at 4pm local (3pm UK).

The 2024 Italian Grand Prix starts at 3pm local (2pm UK) on Sunday September 1.
