Charles Leclerc had a chance to take 19 points out of Max Verstappen’s Formula 1 world championship lead at the British Grand Prix, but he came away having only made up six, as he fell back to fourth after a late safety car restart.
That’s put scrutiny on Ferrari’s tactics – scrutiny that team boss Mattia Binotto did not appreciate on Sunday night at Silverstone given the team still won the race with Carlos Sainz.
