Eight years of very well-documented struggles later, McLaren claimed third place in the 2020 Formula 1 constructors’ championship at the final race of the season.

McLaren secured third place in part thanks to closest rival Racing Point’s illegal brake duct penalty and the absence of Ferrari from the sharp end of the grid following a nightmare campaign.

It marks the highest finish for McLaren since 2012 and signifies the beginning of a new era for the team, which will begin 2021 with new-signing Daniel Ricciardo alongside Lando Norris.
