From a bizarre photo finish between team-mates to a race that never really started, there’s been no shortage of unusual Formula 1 race finishes in the 1049 grands prix that have taken place since 1950.
Whether the chequered flag is waved too earlier or a controversial penalty leaves the result ambiguous for hours after the race, there’s been a number of weird endings to some brilliant – and less brilliant – F1 races.
