Red Bull has revealed its 2024 Formula 1 car during the final event of launch season.
The team took the covers of its RB20 during a launch held at its Milton Keynes base, coverage of which was broadcast on Thursday night.
Unlike in previous years when Red Bull has unveiled a show car, it did reveal something that will likely somewhat resemble the RB20 that will show up during pre-season testing in Bahrain.
It's believed the car displayed at the launch event is far closer to the actual RB20 than the renders the team released online on Thursday evening.
For example the sidepod inlets present on the launch event car aren't on the renders released.
Red Bull's already completed a shakedown with its new RB20, one design guru Adrian Newey says went well.
"We know roughly what we've done from the shakedown at Silverstone, it seems to have - from what we can tell - behaved as we expected it to," Newey said at the launch.
"But that's no guarantee of anything. It could be that some other team has done a bigger jump than us, we shall have to see."
Newey said it was a "complete shock" how dominant the RB19 turned out to be last year when it claimed victories in 21 of 22 grands prix and was used by Max Verstappen to take a dominant third successive F1 title.
Sergio Perez enters his fourth season at Red Bull as Verstappen's longest-serving team-mate. He faces a fight to stay as that beyond the end of this season when his current contract expires.
Red Bull's reveal brings launch season to a close and leaves Williams as the only team yet to show its car.
The team showcased its livery earlier this month but its new car won't break cover until it completes a shakedown in Bahrain next Tuesday, one day before pre-season testing kicks off.
