Mercedes has revealed the first pictures of its 2025 Formula 1 car that it hopes will finally return it to championship challenger status.

Mercedes has struggled to be a consistent force at the front during F1's ground effect era. Last year was arguably its most competitive of three head-scratching seasons with four race wins but it was still a distant fourth-best in the constructors' championship.

The biggest change for 2025 is the departure of its star driver Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari with (it hopes) future megastar Kimi Antonelli taking his place alongside George Russell.

Having already revealed the livery during F1's season launch event at the O2 arena last Tuesday night, Mercedes has now released the first renders of its 2025 F1 car.

The team will shakedown the W16 for the first in Bahrain on Tuesday, one day prior to F1's official pre-season test kicking off.
