Gary Anderson gives his verdict on Formula 1’s raft of rule changes in the latest edition of his weekly podcast.
The former Jordan and Jaguar technical director believes the regulations don’t go far enough and says “I don’t see anything that will change the visual side of F1”.
Anderson works his way through the cost cap, the sliding scale of aerodynamic testing and rules governing the new classification of parts ranging from listed to open source, and questions the ever-growing complexity of the rules.
He also tackles the controversial question of reversed grids, suggesting F1 should perhaps have considered some non-points races as it returns to action in 2020.
