Gary Anderson assesses the impact of Formula 1’s proposed labour-intensive calendar, which will attempt to squeeze 18 races into 24 weekends, in the latest edition of his podcast.
He suggests ways teams can manage the workload of staff, as well as the cost-saving potential of running two-day meetings compared to three-day ones.
He also explains why teams will have to be flexible with their demands on staff, and warns that if they are not accommodating of those who cannot or will not spend most of the second half of the year away, their conduct should be made public.
Anderson also calls for greater free-to-air television coverage of Formula 1, as well as looking at the example NASCAR set by restarting its season with a race at Darlington on Sunday.
