George Russell will start Formula 1's 2025 Singapore Grand Prix from pole position ahead of championship chasers Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri.
After qualifying Williams drivers Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz - originally 12th and 13th - were thrown out of qualifying for rear wing infringements. Sainz will now start from the grid, Albon from the pitlane after Williams took the chance to make suspension set-up changes.
Then on Sunday before the race Alpine announced that it would start Pierre Gasly from the pitlane as well so it could make set-up changes to his car outside parc ferme regulations. He was only due to start 18th ahead of the penalised Williams anyway.
