F1 Manager 2024 will be the first game from the series to be released on the Nintendo Switch console.

The third instalment in the series from Frontier Developments will be released on July 23, with the Switch version having “complete feature parity” with the versions released for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.

That means the main new feature for this year’s game - the ability for players to create their own team to join the F1 grid - is included in full.

As we explored in our hands-on review in May, when setting up a new team players can choose between six different ‘origins’ to set the level they come in at, and you can control the amount of money your team starts with, plus the quality of your car and facilities, as well as selecting an engine supplier and hiring staff.

The in-depth livery creation feature is fully represented as well on the Switch, allowing you to style your team as you wish.

Players can follow the racing action from a variety of broadcast-style camera angles in real time, featuring over 70,000 lines of team radio communication taken from the real world. There is also commentary from Sky Sports F1 duo David Croft and Karun Chandhok.

Other key developments for the 2024 version of the game include a revamped driver market, and the inclusion of mechanical failures.
