Formula 1 has selected the second host city for its official exhibition, with Austrian capital Vienna set to welcome it in 2024.

The inaugural F1 Exhibition ran in Madrid, Spain this year, "becoming the country's biggest temporary show" for the year, according to F1.

"We were thrilled and gratified by the level of success the exhibition received in Madrid," said the event's lead curator Timothy Harvey.

"The ambition has always been to bring this one-of-a-kind show to as many people as possible, and so we’re excited to announce the next stop on our European tour will be the dynamic city of Vienna.

"The Vienna exhibition will feature new displays and experiences for visitors.”

This second iteration, using Vienna's METAstadt venue as the location, is due to open on February 2 next year and conclude in "late spring".

General sale will begin on October 25, with pre-sale - for those registered to receive an alert - beginning two days earlier.

"Austria has a great history with Formula 1, so we are delighted to take this spectacle to the capital and provide fans in the country with another way of interacting and enjoying the sport’s rich history and heritage," said F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali.
