The new Aston Martin 2025 Formula 1 car has been officially unveiled three days before the start of pre-season testing.
Aston had already showcased its - largely unchanged - livery for the campaign as part of F1's collective launch event in London, but the car design remained hidden away until this Sunday.

The follow-up to the disappointing AMR24, the AMR25 features "reprofiled" sidepods and "a significant evolution" of the front wing design that debuted in last October's United States Grand Prix.

The team says the car design changes between last and this year are primarily "aimed at making the car more driveable and improving overall driver confidence" - something that was repeatedly highlighted as an issue by driver pair Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, who enter a third straight season as team-mates.
"For this year's car we've really taken on board the lessons and feedback from last season," said new team boss Andy Cowell, previously best known for his role heading up Mercedes' ultra-successful F1 hybrid engine programme.
"We've focused on creating a more driveable car for Lance and Fernando and we've pushed hard to make it more benign."
More than 90% of the aerodynamic surfaces differ from the AMR24 with changes made across the front and rear wings, sidepods, engine cover and floor.

The AMR25 will carry out a filming day in Bahrain on Monday before the pre-season test at the same venue.
It is Aston's last car powered by Mercedes - which also supplies the suspension and gearbox to the team - ahead of its switch to Honda power for the new regulations coming in in 2026, and also its last car designed without the oversight of superstar designer hire Adrian Newey, who will start work at Aston in March.

The bulk of work designing the AMR25 will have instead taken place under previous Aston Martin technical director Dan Fallows, who left the position after the team's disappointing 2024.
