The car was only revealed in renders when AlphaTauri held its launch last Saturday night, with a show car in the new livery used for the in-person event in New York.
Tsunoda is joined at AlphaTauri this year by Nyck de Vries, the 2021 Formula E and 2019 Formula 2 champion earning a belated F1 full-time chance following his impressive stand-in appearance for Williams at last year’s Italian Grand Prix.
AlphaTauri’s run leaves Mercedes, McLaren and Aston Martin as the only teams yet to conduct shakedowns of their new cars, though Mercedes is due to do so on Wednesday as part of its launch day and McLaren and Aston Martin are expected to swiftly do so following their launches on Monday.
Red Bull has held a launch event at which it did not reveal a realistic 2023 car, then did not release imagery from its shakedown last Friday, so pre-season testing is likely to be the first chance to see its actual new design.
Alpine will reveal its car on Thursday night in London, but has already run it at Silverstone on Monday.
Haas and Williams revealed new liveries on old cars before running their 2023 machines at Silverstone on Saturday and Monday respectively, while Alfa Romeo did two days of ‘filming day’ running at Barcelona last Friday and Saturday.
Ferrari followed its 2023 car reveal at Fiorano on Tuesday morning by immediately doing demonstration runs with the SF-23 on its test track.
