The three classes within The Race’s All-Star Battle series headed into the penultimate round of the second season last Saturday, with the Pro Cup and Sim Masters competitors tackling the Indianapolis road course in the familiar Formula 3.5 machinery.
However, the Legends Trophy field – including F1 champions Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button, Mario Andretti and Emerson Fittipaldi – swapped their usual Brabham BT44s for IndyCar machinery as they tackled the Indianapolis oval, on the weekend the 2020 edition of the Great American Race was initially due to take place.
