Beitske Visser has won the W Series Esports League with one round of the championship still to run.
Heading into the penultimate round, taking place at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, Visser had a 57 point advantage over her only remaining championship challenger, Marta Garcia.
With a maximum of 63 points available to be scored in each three-race long round, Visser had to outscore Garcia by six points to secure the title one round early.
Visser started the first race on pole position, having set a lap time two seconds quicker than Garcia in second.
In the two-lap long race, Visser pulled away from the rest of the pack and won by a margin of four seconds.
Caitlin Wood started the first race in third but was overtaken by Nerea Marti for the final podium position at the flat out northern end of the track.
In the second reversed-grid race, polesitter Vicky Piria spun and dropped down through the field early in the lap.
Bruna Tomaselli held the race lead briefly but retired from the race after locking up and hitting the barrier at the downhill Wehrseifen section.
Naomi Schiff held onto first place for a minute before being passed with a slipstream aided move by Gabriela Jilkova.
Jilkova finished in first, but as a guest driver the full 20 points went to second-placed Schiff, with 17 points to Visser in third.
Visser started in 17th but avoided the crashes to move into 4th at the end of the first lap and moved into the podium pieces by overtaking Belen Garcia on the final lap.
Marta Garcia moved up a total of 11 positions and finished in fifth.
The results of the first two races gave Visser a 66 point lead over Garcia, meaning she needed to outscore Visser by three points to keep the championship fight alive to the final round of the season at Silverstone.
The Spaniard secured pole position by a tenth of a second over Visser, with both drivers at least two seconds ahead of the rest of the field.
But it was a poor opening lap for Garcia as she lost the race lead to Visser who passed her at the flat out Flugplatz corner.
Later in the lap, Garcia ran wide and onto the grass, losing time to Visser and dropping behind Wood.
Garcia reclaimed the runner up spot at the end of the first lap by braking later for the downhill entry Hohenrain chicane at the end of the lap.
Visser’s lead was closed down to just over a second by the end of the third and final race, but she secured the race and championship win.
Garcia finished second and maintains second place in the championship.
Wood rounded off the podium places, just ahead of guest driver Jilkova in fourth and Nerea Marti in fifth.
There were no positional changes in the top six places of the championship, with the highest positional swap being Belen Garcia taking seventh place away from Ayla Agren.
Only 40 points separate third-placed Irina Sidorkova and Caitlin Wood in sixth.
The final round of the championship will take place at Silverstone on August 13.
