Top-line sportscar racing will be covered by The Race in 2025. Since its launch in February 2020, The Race has focused its in-depth coverage around the pillars of Formula 1, MotoGP, IndyCar and Formula E.
The investment into The Race Media following its acquisition by RAFA Media in late 2024, has enabled us to extend our unrivalled brand of in-depth news and analysis into the world of endurance racing, which is enjoying a golden era thanks to an influx of manufacturers.
Renowned French journalist and broadcaster Thibaut Villemant will provide expert insight from the World Endurance Championship and IMSA SportsCar Championship, with The Race's US Correspondent Jack Benyon providing additional support Stateside.
Coverage will initially be concentrated around website and social media news, analysis and opinion, with The Race's reputation for authenticity prominent throughout.
Glenn Freeman, Editorial Director for The Race, said: "Sportscar racing is booming internationally at the moment, attracting a wealth of manufacturers, including many high-profile brands that utilise this as their top motorsport programme.
"During our five years at The Race this has always been the genre of competition our audience have been asking for the most, and the continued success of WEC and IMSA has made sportscar racing irresistible as we look for areas we can expand into.
"With the addition of an authoritative and knowledgeable paddock presence in Thibaut, we look forward to bringing The Race's style of coverage to one of the biggest forms of racing in the world."
Thibaut Villemant said: "In just a few years, The Race has established itself as a benchmark media outlet for motorsport on a global scale with its articles, podcasts and videos. That's thanks to its expertise and highly professional approach, which fits in perfectly with my vision of the profession. I'm honoured to be joining a group of journalists of such quality.
"The fact that The Race is opening up to endurance racing is excellent news for the discipline. The 2025 WEC season and the 93rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be exciting in many ways, with eight manufacturers in the top class fighting for the win and we'll be on site to explain all the ins and outs."
Launched in February 2020, The Race was created to provide detailed, expert and entertaining content on the world's best motorsport.
It has grown to become the largest independent producer of motorsport podcasts and videos, with more than 13m annual podcast listens and 160m video views.
