Haas Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean’s R8G Esport team has signed newly-crowned The Race All-Star Series Sim Masters champion Yuri Kasdorp.
The Dutchman becomes the seventh driver to have joined Grosjean’s esports team, and the second All-Star title winner after season one champion Erhan Jajovski.
Kasdorp won the ROKiT Triple Crown All-Star season by a commanding 44 points and claimed victory in the reversed-grid race at Indianapolis, with Jajovski trailing him by two hundredths of a second.
Outside of the All-Star Series, Kasdorp also won rFactor’s 24 Hours of Le Mans re-run event last year and more recently he also won the Virtual Endurance Championship’s 24 Hours of Le Mans event, both with his former team Singularity Racing.
Today, we announce the end of our working relationship with @YuriKasdorp

He was also a part of the works Toyota World Endurance Championship team’s Virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans entry, where he was the sole simracer in the #8 entry alongside former F1 drivers Sebastien Buemi and Brendon Hartley.
R8G Esports started in April and since then has taken part in competitions on iRacing and rFactor 2.
The team’s best result to date is second place in class in the iRacing 24 Hours of Nurburgring event.
It followed that up with a fourth place finish in class in the iRacing 24 Hours of Le Mans, with Grosjean as one of the drivers for his team on that occasion.
