The reigning constructors’ world champion was at the heart of a huge argument at the Canadian Grand Prix following the FIA’s initial attempt to intervene in the dispute over the porpoising and bottoming out 2022 cars are suffering to varying degrees.
Ferrari and Red Bull pushed back against a last-minute, and subsequently postponed, technical directive issued before the Montreal weekend – which drew the ire of Mercedes boss Toto Wolff.
