Motorsport fantasy game app GridRival is expanding into Daily Fantasy Sports games.
The accelerated daily versions of the fantasy league games, offering real-money prizes, are initially available in 23 states in the US (see list below) and will be rolled out soon in the United Kingdom and Canada.
The DFS games available initially focus on Formula 1 and MotoGP, with NASCAR versions on the way too.
GridRival is an official partner of The Race, and if you listen to The Race F1 Podcast you’ll be familiar with our F1 writers’ fortunes in our own The Race league.
The game has developed a user base of over 200,000 motorsports fans in the past year, thanks to its combination of engaging fantasy league gameplay, detailed performance data, in-depth research tools and native social functionality.
“GridRival has been built by racing fans, for racing fans—and it’s a point of pride that we have been so well received by the motorsports community,” said its co-founder and chief technology officer Jeff Shinrock.
“With DFS, we’re providing what we believe is the first step in activating this very large audience towards a level of excitement with real money games.”
