Gary Anderson podcast: Finding the root of Ferrari’s problem

1 min read

Gary Anderson explains why he believes Ferrari struggled so badly during the season-opening Austrian Grand Prix weekend in the latest edition of his Formula 1 podcast.

The former Jordan and Jaguar technical director has looked closely at the performance trends from the Red Bull Ring and sees one key area at the heart of Ferrari’s problems, even though he also recognises some other weaknesses.

Anderson also delves into the decision to rule the controversial DAS system legal after Red Bull launched a protest against Mercedes and explains why he believes it was correct.

With Mercedes struggling with reliability concerns during the race, Anderson talks through those concerns and also the reason why so many cars hit trouble in Austria.

And with the Red Bull Ring hosting its second consecutive grand prix this weekend, he also explains what he expects to be different – as well as looking back on his visits to the circuit in its mighty Österreichring configuration.

The Gary Anderson F1 Show is released weekly and available from all good podcast outlets, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
