Over a race weekend, as well as watching the live sessions, fans can access onboard cameras and team radio feeds in realtime for any driver, plus a wealth of additional live race data – and full race replays as soon as the race ends (in territories where F1TV Pro is available). Beyond the live coverage of the sessions, fans can enjoy detailed weekend preview shows, extended highlights of every session, in-depth technical analysis, plus post-race and post-weekend insight from a range of F1 experts.

There are special ‘Inside Story’ features too, which so far in 2021 has included exclusive insight into Lewis Hamilton’s battle with Max Verstappen in the Bahrain Grand Prix, and Lando Norris’s charge to the podium at Imola.

If you’re looking for a particular recommendation from us, then we’d point you towards the 30-minute ‘Radio Rewind’ features that tell the story of the race from start to finish with all the best radio communication up and down the field.

For each race weekend F1TV picks out key content from its archive relating to that event. Using this weekend’s Portuguese Grand Prix as an example, the ‘From the Archive’ section features a full re-run of last year’s race, with all the in-depth extra features and cameras that were initially only available to F1TV Pro users opened up for those with an F1TV Access account.

Extended highlights of classic events from Portugal have been picked out to make them easy to access, including Jacques Villeneuve’s win in the final race at Estoril in 1996, Mika Hakkinen’s debut for McLaren in 1993, Ayrton Senna’s first win in 1985, and the epic title showdown in 1984 where the championship was decided by half a point in favour of Niki Lauda over Alain Prost.

At the recent Imola event, F1TV sat down with Fernando Alonso to watch back his classic 2005 San Marino GP battle with Michael Schumacher, and the full re-run of that race is available to watch too.

The revamped layout of the F1TV app brings its incredible archive to life. More full race replays dating back to 1981 are being added on a regular basis, along with extended highlights packages. And every single grand prix from the last 40 years at the very least features a short highlights package of around 10 minutes to recap the best moments from any race.

As you browse around F1’s history by decade and delve into a specific season, you’ll also find any special programmes such as watchalongs or documentaries relating to that year in F1 have been added to make it easy to find even more than just the race re-runs and highlights.
