Canada F1 sprint race starting grid with four pitlane starters

Five rounds into the 2026 Formula 1 season and we've already got our third sprint race at the Canadian Grand Prix.

George Russell will start from pole position ahead of his Mercedes team-mate Kimi Antonelli, with world champion Lando Norris rounding out the top three.

Alex Albon and Liam Lawson weren't able to take part in sprint qualifying because of damage sustained in incidents in practice earlier on Friday. The stewards granted both of them permission to start.

Albon will do so from the pitlane and will be joined by Ollie Bearman's Haas, Pierre Gasly's Alpine and Valtteri Bottas's Cadillac. All four took the opportunity to make set-up changes.
