The 1994 German Grand Prix was Ferrari’s first Formula 1 victory in almost four years.

But it also featured a terrifying pitstop fire for Jos Verstappen, a wild startline crash that led to a ban for Mika Hakkinen, and the season’s most unlikely podium line-up by a mile.

Long-time F1 journalist Tony Dodgins shares his memories of being in the paddock on that incredible Hockenheim weekend as he joins Edd Straw and host Glenn Freeman for the latest episode of our Bring Back V10s classic F1 stories podcast.

All the on and off-track events of a tumultuous weekend are discussed, including the mystery of the ‘Option 13’ setting that led to driver aids controversy around then-runaway championship leader Michael Schumacher’s Benetton team.
