AlphaTauri Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly headlines the latest intake of drivers to the virtual Le Mans 24 Hours, joining Stoffel Vandoorne and Jean-Eric Vergne in Veolce’s line-up.

Unlike many of his fellow pros, Gasly has been largely absent from the virtual racing scene during the lockdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

But the Frenchman has now followed in the footsteps of his current F1 peers Max Verstappen and Lando Norris in being confirmed for June’s marquee endurance event.

Gasly will partner reigning Formula E champion Vergne in Veloce’s #24 entry, the pair counting as the two mandatory pro drivers in the car line-up – as per the event rules – alongside Isaac Gillissen and F1 Esports race winner Jarno Opmeer.

Meanwhile, Mercedes FE driver Vandoorne will team up with Norman Nato – a driver he often competed against in his junior career – in the #16 car.

Veloce will have three Oreca 07s entered into the top class of the event, LMP2, with the third car’s roster including Japanese F3 champion Sacha Fenestraz and World’s Fastest Gamer winner James Baldwin.

Redline is another team to have recently confirmed its full roster, filling the two entries it’s running in partnership with Jota Sport in addition to the Verstappen/Norris car.

The #37 Jota Redline car will have ex-Manor F1 man Will Stevens among its drivers, while Ganassi IndyCar driver Felix Rosenqvist and Formula E championship leader Antonio Felix da Costa will team up in the #38 car.

Also announcing its full line-up was Panis Racing, which will field a pair of LMP2 entries. One of its cars will feature the father-son duo of Olivier and Aurelien Panis, the former a one-time Monaco GP winner and the latter a touring car regular.

Andy Priaulx confirmed he would race alongside his son Seb, Mike Epps and Olivier Fortin in a Multimatic and Zansho Simsport entry.
